that Mike Lovell has lot his dad. Please remember Mike and his family at
this time in your thoughts and prayers. The following are the
arrangements:Clarence A. Lovell Jr. Dated Oct. 14, 2008. We have been notified that Barbara Allen has lost her husband. He was a member of Hermitage Church of the Nazarene where visitation will be held Saturday, October 18 from 9:30 am until 11:30 am. A Celebration of Jim's life will begin at 11:30 am. This service will be led by Pastor Howard Plummer. Please remember Barbara and her family at this time in your thoughts and prayers. Dated Sept. 10, 2008. We have been notified that Butch Hite's Mom has passed away. Please remember Butch and His family at this difficult time for them. Arrangements are incomplete at this time, although it is thought the funeral will be Friday. We will try to keep you posted. Dated- Sept. 10-2008. Good news for Harold Patterson. Harold is home and recovering nicely. Dated Aug. 20, 2008. Your prayers are still needed for Butch Hite's mother. Butch's mom is still in the hospital. Her lung collapsed during the procedure. Butch said that is not unexpected or unusual. He said today that the Dr's have it re-inflated but she'll have to be the hospital a couple of extra days. Dated Aug. 19, 2008. The following email was received from Phil. I have spoken with Harold and he is scheduled for surgery next week.
I heard from Butch
Hite yesterday and his mother is having a follow-up proceedure on a lung
tumor. They did the proceedure a few months ago and are going back in
to "zap" the remainder of the tumor. It's done with a needle so she
should only be in the hospital a couple of days or so.
Also, I heard Harold
Patterson was having fluid drained from his lung next Tuesday as a
result of a blow to his chest. Apparently, this is the second
draining. I got the following details from Herbert:
Dated April 21, 2008. Wilburn Bates went home last Friday from the hospital. He is staying with his mother for a few days. Let's keep him in our thoughts and prayers. Dated April 17, 2008. Wilburn Bates is in Skyline Hospital but should be out very soon. He will be going to his mother's house for a few days to get some great care when he gets out. Let's remember Wilburn in our thoughts and prayers. I am sure cards or phone calls can reach him through the floral shop. Dated April 17, 2008. We are saddened to learn that Debbie Cheek has died in an accident. Details and arrangements are not available at this time. We will post them when they become available. Our thoughts and prayers go out to Debbie's family and friends at this time. Dated March 1, 2008. Brenda Woodroof has asked for prayers for her sister Janice who graduated a couple of years later than us. Her sister has cancer and needs our prayers and thoughts at this time. I am sure Brenda would appreciate our thoughts and prayers as well. Dated Feb 26, 2008. Eddie Smith's Services will be held at Phillips Robinson at 7 P.M. on Thursday the 28th of Feb. Visitation will be from 3 until 7. Again please remember his family at this time with your thoughts and prayers. Dated Feb. 25, 2008. We have been notified today that Eddie Smith has passed away. At this time arrangements are incomplete although Phillips Robinson will be in charge of services we think at this time. We will keep you posted. Please keep Eddie's family in your thoughts and prayers at this time. Dated Feb 9, 2008. We were notified this morning that Ronnie Nollner's father has passed away. Services are pending although it is thought they will be at Hendersonville Memorial Gardens. You can call them for further information. We will try to post additional information here as it becomes available. Please continue to remember Ronnie, Beverly and their family at this time. Dated Feb 6, 2008. We were notified today that the father of Ronnie Nollner has had a major stroke and is is Skyline Hospital. We have no further details at this time although, we ask that you remember Ronnie and Beverly and their family at this time in your thoughts and prayers. We will try to keep you posted as more information becomes available. Dated January 30, 2008. The reports of John Robertson's death are greatly exaggerated. He has contacted us and let us know the John Robertson who passed away was in a later class at Litton. It gives us great pleasure to tell you Johnny is alive and well. Dated Jan. 14th, 2008. Sonny Richardson lost his mother last night. We want to remember Sonny and Sue Ellen at this time in our thoughts and prayers. At this time we have not received details of any arrangements. We think the burial will be at Spring Hill Cemetery but we are unsure at this time. Again, please remember Sonny and his family at this time. Dated December 2, 2007. Harold Patterson is going back to the hospital for some surgery on December 5. He is going to have a defibrillator installed that will provide him some insurance as he has said. He requests your continued prayers and thoughts at this time. He should not be in the hospital but for a few days. We will keep you posted on his situation. Again from Harold, thanks for all the prayers and thoughts and please keep him in your prayers. December 2, 2007. Our class will gather for our annual Christmas gathering at Calhouns on Gallatin Road at Rivergate this Thursday, December 6, at 6 PM. All are invited to attend. If you can make it please call Herbert Patterson at 859-7050 so we can let the restaurant know for reservations. We look forward to seeing all of you there. It is a special time for all that make it. Dated November 26, 2007. We offer our sympathy to Wanda Hold Dyce in the lose of her mother. Her Mother was 98 years old. The services were held today at Springhill Funeral home. Our class has conveyed our thoughts and sympathy. I am sure Wanda will appreciate your continued thoughts and prayers in the days to come. Dated October 26th, 2007. It gives me great pleasure to say that we have removed from the deceased list Cynthia Taylor. She found our web site and emailed Sharon that she was very much alive. We had been told last spring that she had passed away. Her demise has been greatly exaggerated. I can say she is alive and well. I had the pleasure of lunch with her today. Cynthia wishes everyone well and is looking forward to beeing in the loop now. Glad you found us Cynthia. Dated October 24, 2007, We have been informed that Nancy McPherson has lost her mother. Funeral arrangements are incomplete at this time although it is thought that the funeral will be this coming Saturday. Our thoughts and prayers go out to Nancy and her family at this time of loss. Nancy's mother was a teacher and taught many of us at Dalewood Elementary School. Dated October 18, 2007, We are saddened to learn of the loss of one of our own. Dated September 20, 2007. We are saddened to learn of the death of Gary Bourque's mother. The services are to be tomorrow Friday the 21st at Spring Hill Funeral Home at 2 PM. Visitation will be from 10 AM until 2 PM at the Spring Hill Funeral Home. Our thoughts and prayers are with Gary and His family at this time.
Dated August 27th, 2007. We learned yesterday that Paul Perry lost his mother last Friday. Please keep Paul and his family in your thoughts and prayers at this time.
Dated August 21, 2007. Sharon Province Short has informed us that her husband Ted has had a heart attack. He is now home and doing well. Our prayers go out to Ted and Sharon in this their time of need.
Dated June 26th, 2007. We were sadly informed today that Wayne Smith passed away on the 6th of June. He died of complications from surgery in Tampa, FL. Wayne had been one of the few on our missing list for several years. We received this information from his brother through Donnie Vaugh. Thank you Donnie for passing along the information. Our thoughts and prayers go out to his family at this time.
Dated June 24th, 2007. It has come to our attention that Mark Hoover has lost his mother a couple of days ago. We all want to remember Mark and his family at this time of loss. Our thoughts and prayers go out to Mark.
Dated May 23rd, 2007. Joy Hewitt Campbell is home. Her tumor was reported to be non cancerous. Prayers continue to be answered for our classmates. Please continue to remember Joy and Harold Patterson as well as Patti Hoover in your prayers as they continue their recovery.
Dated May 21, 2007 We were informed this morning that Joy Hewitt Campbell has had two surgeries for a cerebral tumor. She is in St. Thomas Hospital now and not having visitors. Dated May 16, 2007. It has come to our attention that Patti Hoover, the wife of Mark Hoover is currently undergoing treatment for cancer. Let's remember both Mark and Patti in their time of need just as we do all of our classmates. Please continue to let us know when you or one of the class needs something. Dated April 19th, 2007. Word came today that Brenda Kirby's Husband Jimmy Hyde has cancer of the colon so we need to give him our thoughts and prayers just as we have Harold. It is a great comfort to our classmates to have the support that flows from all of us at our time of need. Remember Brenda and Jimmy please.
Dated April 19th, 2007 Harold Patterson continues to improve. Our prayers are being answered. Please continue to pray for Harold, Janet, and Herbert as well as Harold's mother and the rest of the Patterson family.
Dated April 11, 2007. Harold Patterson has been discharged from Vanderbilt Hospital and is now in the old Miller Hospital on Gallatin Rd, for physical therapy. Your prayers and still needed and appreciated. We really have seen a miracle.
Dated March 23, 2007, Harold Patterson is in need of your prayers. He is in critical care and was stricken by a heart attack, but is fighting back. He is improving but has a long way to go. According to Herbert, the only thing t hat saved Harold to this point was the fact when he had the heart attack, a friend started CPR immediately. Janet and Harold's family are holding up well and sticking together but I am sure the family appreciates your cares and prayers.
Dated March 14, 2007, Grady Jakes (Litton class of ’67) died late last week and was buried Monday at Woodlawn. There was a graveside service with just a few people there. Grady had been in poor health for some time and had been in and out of nursing homes and physical rehabilitation. His brother Ernie said that Grady had (re)broken his hip recently and died from a staff infection. We thank Mark Hoover for keeping us posted on Grady's death. We ask all of you to let us know when something happens that your classmates would like to know about and so the class can respond. The class will send flowers if we know in a timely manner. Dated Dec 12, 2006. I received an email today from Patrick Murphy telling us that he lost his dad back on the 6th of November. Pat made mention of the love that his Father had for Litton and mentioned the fact that he always made the Friday night football games. Patrick also mentioned the pride that he had for the service his Father, like most of us in our class, gave our country during WWII. Patrick sent this information through the web site and said he is looking forward to our 40th reunion. Our sympathy and well wishes go to you and your family Patrick. Dated Aug 26th, 2006. Bob Geiger's Father was laid to rest this afternoon in Hendersonville, Tn. with full military honors. I, want to say thank you for your sympathy and support during these times. It means a lot to me. Dated Feb 27, 2006 Ron Merville's Father was laid to rest this afternoon in Spring Hill Cemetary. We extend to Ron and his family our sincere sympathy and prayers. Many of us have great memories of the early days of TV in Nashville and childrens show that Mr. Merville directed and worked with and the benefits we enjoyed by Ron's presence in our classes. Again please remember Ron and his family.
Dated Feb 3, 2006. Ned Benz has asked for our prayers and thoughts as he is entering Vanderbilt Hospital on Monday for surgery to correct a problem with his colon. It will be major surgery and Ned is quite anxious. Please remember him and you might even give him a call and let him know you are thinking about him and praying for him. Ned we are thinking about you. Get well soon and let us know if there is anything we can do to help you. You are in our thoughts and prayers.
Dated December 27, 2005. Harold Patterson had surgery this morning to repair a torn rotator cuff and is now resting comfortably at home. He has alot of rehab ahead of him and a great therapist who we know will drive him to get better as fast as possible. Our prayers are with you Harold and Janet. Dated December 7, 2005. Our sincere sympathy is extended to Betty Sanford in the loss of her mother. There will be a memorial service on Friday at 11:00 at St. James The Less Episcopal Church on West Due West in Madison. Betty has asked us to remember her dad, herself and Bob in your prayers. Dated Dated August 29. It has come to our attention, although a bit late, that Butch Hite has had a heart attack but is recovering well. Things are going well for Butch in his rehab. We know this because he has been seen on the golf course already. This information was supposed to be passed on to the webmaster a bit sooner but due to the excitement of a new grand-daughter Harold Patterson was touched with more excitement than he could handle. So, our prayers go out to Butch for continued healing and our congratulations to Harold and Janet on their first grand child. Dated July 12. Please remember Ned Benz in your prayers as he is in big need of them. He has need to make life style changes so that his plumbing to his heart can remain open. It has come to our attention that Lynne Van Deren has recently lost her mother. Our sympathy goes out to Lynne and her family. Please remember them in your prayers. It has come to our attention that on the 17th of March Ron Nollner had by-pass surgery. He is home and is doing well. I am sure he and his wife Beverly would appreciate your prayers for his continued recovery. We had our annual Holiday get together at Calhouns in December. It was great to see all that could make it and for those that can not we hope to see you at our next get together which will be in the summer.
